If your email mailbox has been temporarily blocked, you must complete the steps below to secure your device before it can be unlocked.

Step 1: Change Your Email Password

  • Log in to your email account using a web browser.

  • Change the password to a new, strong password.

  • Do not reuse any previous passwords.

Step 2: Run a Full Virus Scan on Windows

  1. Click Start

  2. Search for Windows Security and open it

  3. Select Virus & threat protection

  4. Click Scan options

  5. Choose Full scan

  6. Click Scan now and wait for the scan to finish
    (this may take 30–90 minutes)

If any threats are found, remove or quarantine them and restart your computer.

Step 3: Run an Additional Malware Scan (Recommended)

  1. Download and install Malwarebytes (Free version)

  2. Open Malwarebytes

  3. Run a Full scan

  4. Remove anything detected

Step 4: Secure Microsoft Outlook

  1. Open Outlook

  2. Go to File → Options → Add-ins

  3. At the bottom, select COM Add-ins and click Go

  4. Disable or remove any add-ins you do not recognize

  5. Restart Outlook

Step 5: Review Email Activity

  • Ensure the Outbox is empty

  • Review Sent Items for any messages you did not send

  • Delete any suspicious drafts or rules

Step 6: Confirm Completion

Once all steps are completed, notify support so your mailbox can be unlocked.
